The mission

We are looking for an unusually independent engineer who wants to help turn VitaAvanza from an ambitious early-stage platform into a reliable, secure and scalable product. You will work across product architecture, frontend, backend, AI integration and technical decision-making.

VitaAvanza is building a connected navigation environment that keeps documents, deadlines, opportunities, services and next actions understandable across a person's journey. International students and immigrants are the first use case.

Responsibilities

Build and improve core Vita product experiences
Work across frontend, backend and AI-enabled workflows
Improve reliability, security and observability
Help define engineering standards and technical priorities
Translate product goals into maintainable systems
Review architecture and remove fragile implementation patterns
Collaborate directly with the founder and product contributors

Ideal profile

Strong full-stack engineering ability
Experience with TypeScript and modern web development
Familiarity with Next.js, APIs, cloud services and databases
Comfortable working with imperfect information
High ownership and strong product judgment
Interest in AI systems, orchestration or agent-based products
Ability to communicate trade-offs clearly
